Odin- a little man with a big name

Odin became a little man with a big name on July 26, 2006 at 11:01 PM. He currently resides with his Mommy, Daddy, dog, Honey, cat, Grasshopper, and fish tank of un-named fish in Santa Cruz, California where he enjoys long walks along the ocean, daily visits with Daddy to the greenhouse in the backyard, and being social with Mommy and his friends. Odin will be getting a sibling at the beginning of October and he's really excited!

Happy Spring!

Here are some eggs that Odin dyed in honor of upcoming Easter...I discovered that he wouldn't touch a hardboiled egg with a ten foot pole but he did enjoy the dying process :) Aren't they beautiful?

Here are some videos of the energy of a typical toddler for your enjoyment and to help those of you without kids appreciate life without a toddler :)

I got the table back out and Odin has been thoroughly enjoying eating with me at the table or coloring in his coloring book at the table while I work on the computer. It's really cute and we enjoy spending time together and chatting about our day. It's also nice because Odin's food mess is contained which makes our house a LOT less sticky ;)

Here's Odin in his "boat." This just shows that even though he's getting SO big, he's still smaller than a laundry basket ;)

We're back!

Hi everyone!
We're back from Wyoming! We got a really harsh cold virus so it was a pretty low key week with lots of sleep and relaxation. Also, as some of you may know, I'm 10 weeks pregnant so I've been pretty low energy during the first trimester so I just sat around and ate and ate and ate :) We had some GREAT meals with wonderful company. I also went cross country skiing with my dad a few times and that was really fun and pregnancy-friendly. Odin had the BEST time going out in the snow with Grandpa, sledding, shoveling, hiking, and animal viewing. We saw two female moose that live in my parents neighborhood, deer, beef cows, horses, big horn sheep, elk, eagles, magpies, and lots of stuffed animals like Buffalo, coyotes, etc. Odin enjoyed spending time with Uncle Adam, his girlfriend, Jess, and his dog, Winston. Grammie & Odin read books, watched Blues Clues, cooked, and played. As I was feeling pretty crappy, I didn't take ANY photos so I'll have to wait and get some from my dad and brother for the blog :) For any of you that the pregnancy news is new...we're adding to the family around October 1st. Here we go again!!!!!

On Vacation...

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that we are away this week in Wyoming if you're looking for us :) Here's a good story from our trip here...

We got off the plane in Jackson and were walking toward the airport across the runway and Odin is saying, "Snow, Snow!!!!" When all of a sudden he says, "Pee-pee." Odin never says something for no reason so I turned and looked and looked to figure out what he could be talking about. Finally, I notice, way back at the plane in the midst of all the arrival action, trucks, luggage carts, etc., there is a huge stream of water coming out of the back bottom of the plane towards a bucket under the back of the plane. Sure enough, the plane was peeing!?!?!?! I had to laugh at that one because that was exactly what it looked like. Anyways, thought you might all find that entertaining. Never question the wisdom of a toddler! He knows what he's talking about! :) We'll be back Saturday morning! It's VERY snowy here! We left 70 degree weather with green grass, crocus, daffodil, and cherry blossoms in California and all of a sudden we're back in full blown winter! Quite a shock!
