Odin- a little man with a big name

Odin became a little man with a big name on July 26, 2006 at 11:01 PM. He currently resides with his Mommy, Daddy, dog, Honey, cat, Grasshopper, and fish tank of un-named fish in Santa Cruz, California where he enjoys long walks along the ocean, daily visits with Daddy to the greenhouse in the backyard, and being social with Mommy and his friends. Odin will be getting a sibling at the beginning of October and he's really excited!

Current Age: 2 years (25 mo.)

At three months old, the social circuit begins...

Here are Odin's new friends so far...

Aunt Jenny (came from New York City!)

Grandma and Grandpa Colwell (came from Otego, NY!)

Auntie Rachel, Uncle Rick, and cousins, Nicholas and Alexandra (came from White River Junction, VT!)

Great Nana and Grandpa Connor (visited in Goffstown, NH)

Auntie Alana, Uncle Bob, cousin Shayna, and puppie Cooper! (visited in Loudon, NH)

Still more to see! This week, Uncle Adam, Jess, Lynn, Dave, Andy and Eric, and Cathy!

Yesterday, Odin visited the Connecticut coast, where he braved the cold and took a stroll through Madison before having a lovely lunch looking out at the Ocean.

He had a lovely time and particularly enjoyed cozying up with Grammie!

Fall, leaves, fall

"Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree."
Emily Bronte

A lovely Autumn day in Connecticut!
We made it!
Odin and I had a fun-filled visit with Karen, Dan, and their two boys in Chicago and we would love to have some pictures of it posted but not only did I forget my camera there, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get all of the kids to sit still for a picture :)

The weather has been very warm in Connecticut and we have been having a wonderful time keeping Grammie and Grandpa company!

Odin also has quite the social calendar for the next week and a half with many fabulous visitors expected! Hopefully, we'll have many photos to post! I think a total of 19 people will be visiting! Maybe more! Odin can't wait to meet everyone so that he can win them over with his sparkling personality and cute wardrobe. He misses his Daddy A LOT but is very proud of him on his great accomplishments at work! Keep up the great work Daddy! We'll be home soon!
Love, Odin and Odinsmama

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Black fish
Blue fish
Old fish
New fish
This one has
a mom named Star.
Daddy drove them here in a brand new car.
Say! What a lot
of fish there are.

Yes. Odin went to Monterey,
To visit the aquarium on the bay.
For such a little guy,
It was quite a day!
On the way home, he made them pay!

Will he remember this, his very first time-
The trip that inspired this fabulous rhyme?
No, I guess, probably not.
But mom and dad still enjoyed it alot!

Tomorrow it is time to pack,
a million onesies in a sack.
Perhaps we'll bring some diapers too,
and a change of clothes for a mommy who...
will probably end up buying something new.

From here to there,
from there to here,
new friends for Odin,
are everywhere.

Lots of old faces, we will see.
How we've missed them, golly gee!
We're so excited, we can hardly wait.
Let us through, we can't be late!

Oh me! Oh my!
Oh me! Oh my!
When you're almost three months old,
Time sure does fly!

11 weeks

Two days ago, Odin learned to suck his thumb! That was a big day for all of us. Ever since then, he is obsessed with his thumb and practices getting it into his mouth over and over.

Today, Odin hung out in the greenhouse with his Daddy and had a long chat over a Mocha, had a visit from Joanna and Leor (4 weeks) - a friend from our Child Birth Class- went to the hairdressers where Odin impressed all the ladies with his PERFECT behavior, then threw up all over my outfit and leather seats (I somehow forgot to bring an extra outfit to change into- that isn't his fault!) and after getting somewhat cleaned up (white spit up all over an entirely black ensemble,) he helped me find some stuff for our Halloween Costumes. It was another Big day for our little man, Odin. Now, he is over in his swing snoring. Like Father, like Son!
