Off to Jackson
Hi all! We're off to Jackson tomorrow! Ryan will be holding down the fort with a few friends while we're gone. I can't wait! I also know that Odin is going to be SO excited about the airplanes. They're his ultimate favorite. I think we've read his airplane book about a million times. We'll be back next week so keep your eye out for some fabulous new photos :) Here's a video to keep you company while we're gone :)
Today we went to the Northern California Renaissance Faire. A GREAT time was had by all. This is our second time going and we still thought it was great :)

Just to get you in the mood for October! Here are a few of Odin's latest tricks...
This is just Odin being cute & sleepy...
Here's what happens when your baby figures out that you are "Mama." That is ALL I've heard ALL day... Mama (Where are you?) Mama (I want that.) Maaamaa (Give it to me!) Mamaaaaaaa (Give it to me now!) Mama (Why can't I have it?) Mama (Please?) and so on and so on and so on...
Here's his latest trick...today, for the first time, I unlocked the front door in front of him...later, he climbed up on the couch, got my keys, brought them over to the front door, and tried to put the key into the lock. This door only has a keyhole on the outside of the door so it didn't quite work out for him but it is just AMAZING what they pick up on and understand!
Hello! No photos today...camera battery was dead. I did want to mark this momentous occasion though... today is THE DAY for NO MORE BAD WORDS....Bum Bum BUM! Odin mimicked EVERYTHING we said today. He did pretty well with copying our words...well enough that we decided that it's time to watch our own language around the little man. I think this will be very difficult. We are so used to saying whatever we like after being out of our parents' homes for 12 years! Here are a few interesting things he said today that I can actually remember with my fried brain... Backpack Apple Better Hot Bath Water I guess I should start writing them down because I've already forgotten SO many of the things he said today! Argh!
Here's Odin and his friend, Chance. They play twice a week, once at our house and once at his. They got on the car all on their own, Chance's mom and I were just chatting away! Then, if that wasn't cute enough, right after this photo, Chance leaned back and Odin kissed the top of his head. It was so cute...I can't even tell you. Then, they just went back to playing. It's so nice to watch toddlers when their life is so uncomplicated! Just love and happiness and a true joy of living! When Chance had to leave, he gave me so many hugs, it just warmed my heart! Two of the SWEETEST little boys!
Sorry that there have been so few posts...I'm working more lately so I am sick of the computer by the time it gets to when I could do the blog! We have also been SO busy!!! Each day, we have AM and PM activities as well as housework during Odin's nap and working in the 3 hours after Odin goes to bed. Argh! Soooooo....here's what we've been up to!
Ryan, Odin, and I road the train up through the giant redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Odin & I went to the Begonia Festival in Capitola where they make floats out of flowers and send them down the river into the Bay. Then, Odin and I went to the Reggae Fest in Monterey with other moms & babies!
Odin is a tree hugger just like his Mom & Dad. Here, Odin & his friend, Mason stake out the carousel. Odin is wearing the traditional "cold weather" California garb...shorts and a ski hat. Odin and his friend Chance play together at our house while his mom has a few hours to get things done. Odin goes to Chance's house later in the week so I can go to a dance class!
